Calendar Making Kits

Wire Bound Calendars are often made with 3:1 Ring Wire. To accomplish this a wire Binder and wire closing machine are required. The wire binders are suitable for A4 Landscape/A3 portrait calendars. They are supplied with either fixed punching pins, selectable punching pins or as a dedicated punching machine that incorporates a calendar thumb cut out. Most machines incorporate a wire closer.
The fixed Pin machine is the least expensive solution and can be used with a Calendar thumb cut punch to produce professionally bound calendars, care must be taken to align the thumb cut punch and wire holes or a half hole may be produced. One solution to this is to purchase the combined wire binding and calendar thumb cut punching machine. This provides perfect alignment every time and also saves time by doing two punching operations at one time. Another solution is to purchase a wire binding machine with selectable punching pins, with these machines you can leave an unpunched gap in the centre of your calendar ready for the thumb cut punching.The thumb cut punches can be purchased as stand alone tools. We offer two types of punch one which is dedicated to thumb cut punching and another which not only produces thumb cuts but can also cut round corners in paper and card.   The choice of wire binding machine for calendar making will be determined by the number of calendars to be produced and the available budget. When your calendars are punched they are ready to be bound, once you have closed the wire you will need to cut out the unwanted wire in the thumb cut section, with this done your calendar hanger/hook can be inserted and your calendar is finished.
